Conquer the haunted looping hallway

P.T. for PC is a free first-person psychological horror video game that lets you walk through the haunted walls of an abandoned suburban home. Originally developed by 7780s Studio and published by Konami, this adventure game remake by Simon Cromwell a.k.a. Qimsar allows you to play the cult classic PlayStation 4-exclusive teaser game P.T. on your desktop. It has all of the original content from the PS4 version, without any changes.

Is PT available on PC?

Short for “Playable Teaser,” P.T. was first released in 2014 as a free downloadable game on PlayStation 4 to tease the Silent Hills game of the franchise. However, the game ended up getting canceled and Konami decided to remove the teaser game from the PlayStation Store. P.T. received critical acclaim, however—becoming one of the most beloved short horror games of all time and even inspiring numerous games with its concept.

The loss of its downloadable form also inspired fans to recreate and remake the game on more accessible platforms—namely, on PC. Numerous fanmade versions have since popped up and P.T. for PC by Qimsar is one of the few that can still be easily downloaded. This version is considered a “full port” of sorts since the developer has almost accurately brought over everything in the original game to the Unreal Engine.

In this game, you play as an unnamed protagonist who awakens and starts exploring the hallway of an unfamiliar residence. There aren’t a lot of objects you can interact with, but you’ll soon discover that the door at the end of the hallway only loops back to your starting point. You need to explore and solve the puzzle of the slowly-changing hallway to progress past the looping scenery. The game is short but you can’t save at any point.

Now within easy access

Overall, P.T. for PC is a great desktop remake of the beloved horror demo that gained viral fame due to its hit gameplay and atmosphere, as well as the controversies that surrounded its disappearance from PS4s. This version retained almost everything in the game and stays true to its high-definition graphics. Take note, however, that you can’t save; quitting the game will reset your progress. Fortunately, it can be finished in a few minutes

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
